The Politics and Policy of an open internet
- open track
- 16 November 14:30 - 15:30
ACTA. Net Neutrality. Data protection. Internet Freedom. Cyber-security. Internet governance. The policies that will shape the future of the Internet have become hotly contested. From time to time, they break into mainstream political discussion and often reveal the lack of expertise and leadership on these issues in government. This session will explore how these issues fit together, and how an active, organized civil society can play a game-changing role in shaping new policies to protect and promote the open Internet.
